Pizza to Paint

Josephine Giordano's journey is a vibrant tapestry stitched with the aromas of Brooklyn's ovens and vivid colors of her canvas. For years, Josephine was at the heart of her family's iconic spot, Lenny's Pizza, a Brooklyn landmark immortalized by Saturday Night Fever. Behind the counter she didn't serve slices she served up memories, stories and a piece of Brooklyn's soul. Josephine's natural charisma and deep rooted pride in her borough made her a beloved local figure and earned her a spotlight on shows like Pizza wars, Tracey Morgans Stay'in Alive and commercials for the New York Knicks and Career builders. As an avid influencer, she connected with people from all walks of life, becoming the face of Brooklyn culture.  But beneath  the flour dusted aprons and neon signs, another passion always simmered: ART!. Graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology as an illustrator many years ago, she finally traded her pizza peel for paint brushes. Channeling her rich life experiences into her story telling art work.  Her paintings brim with the same authentic and warmth that once filled Lenny's. Each piece a homage to her culture, resilience and diverse human tapestry she encountered everyday in NYC.  Josephine's work represents life fully lived.
